Terms of service

The rules for using crawlcheck.io: what the service is and is not, how plans bill and end, and what each side is responsible for. Refunds have their own page.

Who we are. crawlcheck.io (“CrawlCheck”, “we”) is owned and operated by VSNARY. Contact: hello@crawlcheck.io. By scanning, signing in, buying or using the API you agree to these terms.
What the service is. CrawlCheck fetches public URLs and reports what crawlers, answer engines and browsers receive from them. A report is a measurement of what a server returned at one moment. It is not a guarantee of rankings, traffic, citations or placement in any AI answer, and we make no such promise.
Free use. Scanning is free and unlimited, subject to a burst limit that protects the service. The free report shows the grade, the score, which stage fails, the count and severity of findings, and the top finding in full. The other findings and their evidence are paid.
Accounts and licence keys. A licence key is a credential. Keep it private; you are responsible for use made with your key. Send it in a header, not a URL. We may revoke a key that is shared publicly, resold, or used against these terms.
Acceptable use. Do not use CrawlCheck to scan systems you are not allowed to test, to overload a site, to get past a block or login, to resell raw output as your own service without an Agency or API plan, or to probe CrawlCheck itself except as allowed on the security page.
Sites we scan. We read public URLs only, identify our requests, and honour CrawlCheck: none or a CrawlCheck disallow in robots.txt on the next scan (details). A site owner who opts out leaves the dataset, the registry and the crawl queue.
Your data. What we collect and keep, and for how long, is set out on the collection page and in the trust center. Google data you connect (Search Console, Business Profile) is read-only and used only to show it back to you.
Our content. Reports are yours to share. The scanner, the site, the dataset and the published figures remain ours; quote them with a link. The open-source crawlcheck-core code is under its own licence.
Plans and billing. Payments go through Stripe checkout; we never see a card number. Prices are in USD and exclude any sales tax Stripe must collect. The one-time fix ($749) is delivered to the one domain named at checkout and includes 30 days of Watch. Watch ($29/mo or $290/yr), the Watch Intelligence add-on ($49/mo or $490/yr) and Agency ($249/mo or $2,490/yr) renew on the day you bought them until cancelled. Cancelling. Cancel at any time from /manage (Manage billing opens Stripe’s customer portal), or by emailing hello@crawlcheck.io from the address you bought with; we confirm by email within one business day. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for and nothing further is charged. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it still fails, the plan stops and your scan history is kept.
Fix orders. We tell you what changed, and a follow-up scan shows the result. We do not control your host, your plugins, or changes you make afterwards.
Availability. We aim to keep the service up and do not promise uninterrupted service. Scheduled scans, reports and API calls can be delayed or fail; a missed monitoring run is not a breach.
Liability. The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, and we are not liable for lost revenue, rankings or indirect loss.
Ending. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. Where we end a plan for a reason that is not your breach, we refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
Changes. We may update these terms. A change that reduces what you paid for takes effect at your next renewal, and we email active customers at least 14 days before a material change.
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
