Is your business in the database Google buys from?

Google's Maps system ships with a list of 793 data providers. It names one US business-data aggregator: Data Axle. Not Yelp, not Yext. If Data Axle has no record of you, that is one supplier Google reads that has never heard of your business. Of the first nine local businesses we checked, eight were missing.

Free. No signup. We read what your website says about you; the Data Axle search opens in your own browser.

Why the check opens in your browser

Data Axle refuses every request from a cloud server, ours included, with a short "Forbidden". A normal browser gets the answer in about a second. So we do the part a server can do, reading the name, phone and address your site publishes, and hand you a one-click search for that exact number. You see Data Axle's own page, not our summary of it.

If you are not listed

Adding a listing is free at Data Axle Local Listings (a free account is needed). Use exactly the name, phone and address your website and your Google Business Profile already show. The step-by-step guide covers what to enter and what a listing does and does not do. How we found this.
