Share of preflight, October 2026: 0 of 5,643 verified agent requests carried a receipt

The first monthly share-of-preflight edition: of the agent requests that connected sites verified, how many arrived with a CrawlCheck receipt the site checked and accepted. So far, none did.

As of 15 October 2026, seven connected sites reported 9,883 agent requests this month. 5,643 were verified against the operators' published ranges, and none of them carried a CrawlCheck receipt. The 68 receipts sites checked and accepted all came from test agents, which are reported apart. The share of preflight is 0%.

Disclosure: CrawlCheck publishes this edition and sells checks built on the same measurements. No site, server or company is named in this post; the per-agent and per-server readings are on the live record linked below, regenerated and signed.

A preflight is an agent asking before it acts. When an agent asks CrawlCheck, it gets a signed decision, a receipt, that it can present to the site. A site connected to Visitor Resolve can check the receipt. Share of preflight is the fraction of verified agent requests that arrive with a receipt the site accepted. It is the measure of whether asking first has become a habit.

Zero is the starting line #

No production agent sends receipts yet. The receipts sites accepted this month came from test agents, including CrawlCheck's own SDK test, and they are listed apart rather than counted. The figure is published at zero because the series has to start somewhere honest; the first non-zero month will mean an outside agent asked first.

What this does not show #

  • Seven connected sites, not the web.
  • An agent that asked CrawlCheck but never presented the receipt is not counted.
  • Counts only: no addresses or user agents are kept.
  • October is month to date; the edition seals after the month closes.

Questions this post answers

What is share of preflight?

The share of verified agent requests to connected sites that arrived with a CrawlCheck receipt the site checked and accepted.

Do AI agents check sites before acting today?

Not with CrawlCheck yet: in October 2026 to date, 0 of 5,643 verified agent requests to seven connected sites carried a receipt.

Why publish a zero?

The series has to start from an honest baseline. Test-agent receipts are reported apart so they cannot inflate it.
