stapled verdict

A signed verdict about a site that the site serves itself, in a response header or a well-known file, so an agent can check it without calling the issuer. The idea comes from OCSP stapling in TLS.

What stapled verdict does not show

The agent still verifies the signature, the domain it is bound to and its expiry; a stapled verdict past its fresh-until time is ignored and the agent asks directly.
